To the editor: On behalf of the nine MDA families in Lincoln,
thank you to all of the volunteers who made our Lock-Up event a
great success.
Thank you to Einstein's Louisiana CoffeeHouse for being a great
host location. We appreciate the atmosphere and exceptional
hospitality given by all.
Thank you to Graue Chevrolet for the use of cars that were used
to pick up our "jailbirds," and thank you to Lincoln Rural Fire
Department for providing drivers throughout the day.
The event was fun for the nearly 60 local "jailbirds" who
generously volunteered to serve the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Everyone worked hard, calling friends and business associates to
raise $600 in bail. These charitable contributions will benefit the
local programs of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
And a special thank-you goes to our highest bail-raiser, Rick
Hamm of State Farm Insurance.

Other thanks to these "jailbirds" with outstanding bail raised:
Mike Abbott, Chris Graue, Kurt Fitzpatrick, Fire Chief Kukuck,
Krystal Peasley, Cody Atkins, Police Chief Rawlins, Alderman Daron
Whittaker, Mandy Stubblefield, Kelly Elias, Bart Taylor and Marcia
Langellier.
Thank you again to community leaders and business owners for
taking time out of your day to help better the lives of others. To
everyone that participated and donated, we could not have done it
without you!
Sincerely,
Cynthia McGill
Program Coordinator
Muscular Dystrophy Association
