Two from LC women's basketball program among conference honorees          Send a link to a friend

[MARCH 10, 2005]  Lincoln College women's basketball coach Carol Wilson was named co-coach of the year in the Collegiate Conference of Central Illinois this season along with Dave Johnson of Lake Land. Wilson's Lincoln College team finished the season with an 18-15 record and won its first two games in the Region 24 tourney before being eliminated.

Carmen Weaver of the Lady Lynx was named to the all-conference second team. She was the lone representative from LC. Weaver averaged 14.4 points per game during the season, shooting 48.8 percent from the floor and 41.5 percent from 3-point range. She also connected at a 76.8 percent clip from the foul line. She averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and led the team in assists with 80 for the season.

Named to the first team were Amanda Maxedon, Lake Land; Danielle Hibbard, John Wood; Stephanie Munoz, Lincoln Land; Tal Milchan, Lewis & Clark; and Ashley Kinnett, Danville. Joining Weaver on the second team were Erin Kohn, Parkland; Ashley Hayes, Parkland; Lauren Napier, Spoon River; and Kim Schwagmeyer, John Wood.

Milchan was selected as the freshman of the year, and Maxedon was named as player of the year.
