Athletics Hall of Fame inductees announced

NORMAL -- The Illinois State Athletics Hall of
Fame 2005 class is small in numbers but mighty in accomplishments,
as it consists of Kevin Bracken of Burbank, a U.S. Olympian in
Greco-Roman wrestling and the all-time winningest wrestler in ISU
history; Jodi Burch of Freeport, Texas, the Redbirds' first softball
all-American and one of ISU's most dominant pitchers of all time;
and Dr. Linda Herman from Valparaiso, Ind., an athletic
administrator with over 25 years of experience at Illinois State,
including most recently serving as the interim director of
athletics.

Along with the Hall of Fame class, longtime statistician Dan
Winberry will also be honored with the Campbell "Stretch" Miller
Award.
This group will officially be inducted during the Hall of
Fame banquet at 7 p.m., on Sept. 23 at the Radisson Hotel and
Conference Center in Bloomington. The four honorees will also be
recognized during halftime of the Illinois State-Murray State
football game on Sept. 24.
Tickets for the Hall of Fame ceremony are $25 per person and can be
