Evening gathering set to send off soldiers and raise funds          Send a link to a friend 

[MAY 4, 2005]  An evening of good food and entertainment is planned for Friday at the Eagles Lodge. The center of attention will be four soldiers about to be deployed to Iraq. The parents of Spc. Aaron Eimer of Lincoln, Spc. Justin Gullion of Beason, Pvt. Kyle Monday of Middletown and Spc. Ryan Wells of Lincoln invite you to come meet and wish them well.

Food will be available from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner at $5 a plate is pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, and lemonade or tea.

There will be live music from 7 to 11 p.m. From 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday Night Special will perform, and from 9 to 11 p.m. it will be Brian and Joe.

Donations collected at the door will be used to prepare care packages for these soldiers and others serving overseas.

Support your local soldiers. Come out to the Eagles Lodge, 1621 N. Kickapoo St., on Friday from 5 to 11 p.m.
