Springfield woman crashes Porsche; faces drug, alcohol and weapon charges       Send a link to a friend

[MAY 28, 2005]  MOUNT PULASKI -- A 47-year-old Springfield woman faces charges after she lost control of her 1998 Porsche 911 southeast of Mount Pulaski.

Sharon L. Nudo was westbound on Illinois 54 near 1400 Avenue at 12:35 on Thursday afternoon when she lost control of her vehicle. The car crossed the roadway and went off to the left. It struck a utility pole and rolled over, coming to rest on its top.

Logan County Sheriff's Department, Mount Pulaski Fire Department and Logan County Paramedics responded to the scene.

Nudo was wearing a seat belt. She was transported to St. John's Hospital in Springfield with non-life-threatening injuries.

Nudo was charged with DUI; unlawful use of a weapon, for having brass knuckles; illegal transportation of alcohol; and possession of a controlled substance.
