Mega Pass offers unlimited midway rides for 10
days of event

SPRINGFIELD -- Purchase a Mega
Pass and the Illinois State Fair becomes your giant playground. A one-time
purchase of the pass will allow the holder to ride an unlimited number of rides
at the midway carnival for all 10 days of the 2005 fair.

"Our carnival midway has more than 70
rides and attractions, from the carousel to the Mega Drop, and the
Mega Pass lets you ride them all, from morning until the park closes
or until your stomach can't take any more," said Amy Bliefnick,
state fair manager. "The state fair has always been a
family-friendly event, and the Mega Pass is just one way we ensure
people get the most for their dollar."
The Illinois State Fair Mega Pass is
available June 1 through
July 16 for $50 at the Emmerson Building, located on Main Street
north of Ethnic Village on the state fairgrounds. Office hours are
weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the office will be open on
Saturday, July 16.

On July 18, the price will increase
to $60 and the pass may be purchased through the run of the fair.
The passes are not valid for admission to the fairgrounds or rides
on the Skyglider and Giant Slide.
