San Jose United Methodist turkey supper

[Nov. 01, 2005]  SAN JOSE -- On Nov. 2, the San Jose United Methodist Church, 600 S. First, will host its annual bazaar and turkey supper, sponsored by the United Methodist Women, in the church fellowship hall. Bazaar booths will open at 3:30 p.m. Serving for the turkey supper will begin at 4 p.m. and continue until 7.

The bazaar will feature a country store with homemade pies, cookies, bread, other baked goods and honey. The candy booth will have Lucy’s award-winning caramels, fudge, peanut butter balls and lots more goodies. Rugs, quilts, fancywork, embroidered tea towels, crafts and Rada cutlery will also be available.

The supper menu offers roast turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, corn, beans, salad, dessert and drink. Carryouts will be available.

Advance tickets for the turkey supper may be purchased from ticket co-chairmen Jeane and Rachel Woll, phone 247-3272.

The church is handicapped-accessible and the event is open to the public.
