Rachel Barton Pine
Masterworks 3 will feature violinist Rachel Barton Pine performing
John Corigliano's "Chaconne," from "The Red Violin," as well as
Tchaikovsky's Concerto for Violin, Opus 35, in D major. This is Ms.
Pine's second performance with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra. In
2001, she performed Samuel Barber's Concerto for Violin, Opus 14,
with the orchestra. Also on the program is the Double Concerto for
Strings, Piano and Timpani by Bohuslav Martinu.
