[OCT. 5, 2005]
The
local Fibromyalgia Comfort Group has reconvened for the fall at
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. The next meeting is Oct. 12.
The group shares advice with one another how to alleviate pain when
living with Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia means pain in the muscles,
ligaments and tendons -- the soft fibrous tissues in the body.
Fibromyalgia syndrome is a widespread musculoskeletal pain and
fatigue disorder for which the cause is still unknown.
Meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month.
They generally begin at noon and often continue to 1:30 p.m. in the
hospital's Conference Room A, which is located in the lower level.
Attendees may bring lunch or come a few minutes early and buy lunch
in the ALMH cafeteria.
Questions may be directed to discussion leader Tara Hennessey at
732-7750.
