Habitat for Humanity of Logan County
will hold its Fifth Annual Recognition Dinner / Dance on October 22,
2005, at the American Legion Hall on 5th Street in Lincoln. The
doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the dance
at 7:00 p.m. Ballroom music will be provided by "The Kevin Turner
Trio." Tickets are $30 and may be purchased in advance at A.G.
Edwards & Sons, MKS Jewelers, or by calling 217-732-2861.

At this event, three groups
will be honored for their support of the local Habitat organization:
Lincoln Daily News, Lincoln Iron and Metal, and Genesis Ministries.
Proceeds from the Dinner /
Dance will be applied toward Habitat's mission to provide simple,
decent, and affordable shelter to people lacking adequate housing.
Habitat is currently constructing its ninth home, which is located
in Lincoln, and has selected a recipient for a tenth home.
