LCHS marching band takes second overall at Dwight

[Sept. 21, 2005]  The Lincoln Community High School Marching Band competed at Dwight this past Sunday. The band finished second overall to Washington. LCHS did achieve first place in music execution, percussion, and drum major categories.

Remaining competitions are Oct. 1 at Mount Zion and Oct. 8 at Metamora.

The marching band will also perform at halftime of the remaining home football games, on Sept. 23 and Oct. 7. The program for this year is "Mangione Magic."

The band is under the direction of David Swaar.
