Fletcher, son of Mike and Cleola
Fletcher of Emden, plans to pursue a degree in physical education.
He is also active with the Lynx baseball team. He plans to continue
his education at Illinois State University, where he will major
in sports therapy. Vanos, son of Stacie Behrends of Lincoln and
the late John Vanos, is taking general education courses at Lincoln
College.
The Anna K. and Bernard E. Behrends Scholarship is awarded to
graduates of good academic standing from surrounding county high
schools. The award honors Behrends siblings Bernard, of the Lincoln
College class of 1948, and Anna, of the class of 1936.
