Tierney receives James Hickey Memorial Scholarship at Lincoln College         

[SEPT. 28, 2005]  Justin Tierney, son of John Tierney of Highland and the late Jean Tierney, is this year's recipient of the James Hickey Scholarship at Lincoln College.

Tierney, a 2005 Lincoln Community High School graduate, is taking liberal arts courses at Lincoln College and plans to pursue a degree in sports information.

The James Hickey Scholarship is awarded to a worthy student from the area and is given in memory of James Hickey, a former member of the Lincoln College board of trustees and curator of the Lincoln Collection for the state of Illinois.
