Lincoln College softball vs. Danville          Send a link to a friend

[APRIL 5, 2006]  The Lincoln College softball team swept a doubleheader with Danville at home on Tuesday.

Lincoln won the first game 1-0. Nichole Laylock had the game-winning hit that drove in the only run.

"Our defense is what won the game for us," said Lincoln coach John Andrews. "(Krystina) Gomez didn't have her best stuff, but she battled for seven innings and got the job done."

Lincoln won the second game 7-3.

"The second game we hit the ball better, and Abby (Segal) threw another nice game once she settled down," Andrews said.

Lincoln's conference record is now 4-0. Overall the team is 11-5.
