Wildflower and bluebell walks          Send a link to a friend

[APRIL 13, 2006]  ELKHART -- Join botanist Bill McClain and the Elkhart Historical Society for a springtime walk on Elkhart Hill to enjoy the spectacular wildflowers and bluebells. Only two walks are planned, April 15 and 22, so be sure not to miss this opportunity. Bring along your cameras and take pictures of the wonderful flowers throughout your walk.

The outings will begin at 10 a.m. both Saturdays. The groups will meet at 9:30 at the Bluestem Bakery in preparation for the trip. The walk will start at 10, and the whole group will get to see the beauty of Elkhart Hill's wildflowers and bluebells. The walk will last until 11:30 a.m.

Reservations are required for both walks, and the cost is $5 per person. As most of the outing will be on foot, please dress for the weather and bring insect repellent. For more information or for reservations, please call (217) 947-2238.
