Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
Dr. Jocson had worked at Lincoln Development
Center as a staff physician and at Adolf Meyer
Mental Health Center in Decatur as medical director.
He also worked at McFarland Mental Health Center in
Peoria and Heritage Behavior Center in Decatur.
Previously he had practiced in the Philippines.
He was born Sept. 11, 1930, in the Philippines to
David G. and Rosa Magsaysay Jocson. He married Nenita
Arreola on June 25, 1960, in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years; his
children, David Mark (and Renee) Jocson of Normal,
Laura J. (and Brian) Hatfield of Lutherville, Md.,
and Alfred John (and Caroline) Jocson of Rockford;
one sister, Belen Cruz of the Philippines; one
brother, Carlos Jocson of California; and eight
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice
Lyn Jocson.
He was a member of Holy Family Church, past
member of Lincoln Rotary Club and Lincoln Elks Lodge
914. He was a member of the Central Illinois
Philippine American Society and the American
Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Jocson graduated from the University of Santa
Tomas in Manila in the Philippines. He completed his
internship at South Chicago County Hospital.
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Church or
Carroll Catholic School.
