Brooklyn Robbins receives all-American honors at Parkland          Send a link to a friend 

[DEC. 5, 2006]  CHAMPAIGN -- Parkland volleyball player Brooklyn Robbins has been named a first-team NJCAA D-II All-American for the second consecutive season. The sophomore setter from Lincoln had previously been named the Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Region 24 Player of the Year, MVP of the St. Petersburg tourney and a member of the all-tourney teams at Des Moines and Kellogg.

She is the first Parkland volleyball player to ever earn first-team honors both seasons. Robbins finished third in the nation in assists, averaging 12.3 per game. She had finished fourth in the same category last season with 11.5 assists per game. She also finished in the top 25 in service aces both years.

Robbins has signed to play for former Cobra head coach Brenda Winkeler at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
