[DEC. 22, 2006]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Mildred Rupp, 97, of Mount Pulaski died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at 10:50 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Zion Lutheran Church of Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Mark Drews officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of Mount Pulaski is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Rupp had been a teacher. She taught German and French in Phoenix, Ariz., and taught at a country school near Mount Pulaski.

She was born Sept. 7, 1909, in Mount Pulaski to George and Emma Michael Rupp.

She is survived by one sister, Irma Rupp of Mount Pulaski, and several nieces and nephews in Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Biesemeier, who died Dec. 3.

Miss Rupp was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Mount Pulaski.

She graduated from Northwestern University and attended the University of Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran School of Mount Pulaski.
