To the editor: Gas prices changing so quickly are not just in
Illinois. I live in South Texas, on the Mexican border, and one week
ago I filled up for $1.95 a gallon. Since I never let my tank get
less than half full, I went this Wednesday and the gas prices jumped
to $2.21. I have asked the same questions here and get no real
answers. [See related
letter.]
Honesty and fairness just do not seem to be in the interest of
any gas station, no matter what name it is under.
Respectfully submitted,
George McKinney
