Ray 'Slick' Goff

[JULY 11, 2006]  Ray A. "Slick" Goff, 73, of Lincoln died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at 3:05 a.m. at his home.

His body will be cremated, and there will be no services.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.

Mr. Goff was a laborer for Atlanta Ag before he retired.

He was born May 27, 1933, in Lincoln to Lewis and Mae Jeffers Goff. He married Myrtle Knapp on Feb. 4, 1956, in Quincy.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; three sons, Reynold (and Phyllis) Goff of Chestnut, Byron Goff of Ottawa and Michael (and Tammy) Goff of Winona, Minn.; one daughter, Sharon (and Tub) Baker of Lincoln; two brothers, Marion (and Rita) Goff of Lincoln and William (and Marianne) Goff of Topeka, Kan.; one sister, Betty Becker of Naples, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and Charles; and one sister, Frances Murphy.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Illinois.
