Eleanor Noble

[JULY 27, 2006]  Eleanor M. Noble, 78, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at the Christian Village.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dan Wissmann officiating and Chaplain Ryan Edgecombe speaking. Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Noble was employed with GTE in Lincoln for 40 years as an operator. She retired in 1986.

She was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Lincoln to Ernest and Velna Easton Winkel. She married Harold Noble in July of 1950. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two brothers, George Winkel and Edgar Winkel, both of Lincoln; and one sister, June Segretto of Springfield.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Dirk, and three sisters, Mary Ellen Winkel, Orlena Fulk and Edna Noble.

Mrs. Noble was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Christian Village Alzheimer's Unit and will be accepted at the funeral home.
