[JUNE 9, 2006]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Ralph Price Blackburn, 90, of Mount Pulaski died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at 12:35 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. June 17 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Mr. Blackburn was a manufacturing representative.

He was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Xenia to Ralph N. and Sada Price Blackburn. He married Mary K. Gupton in Springfield on June 14, 1941. She died Oct. 18, 2004.

He is survived by one daughter, Janet (and Don) Maxheimer of Mount Pulaski; one son, Jeffrey (and Peggy) Blackburn of Petersburg; one brother, William Blackburn of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

He was a member of the Mount Pulaski First United Methodist Church, Mount Pulaski Masonic Lodge, Valley of Springfield Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and Ansar Temple.

Memorials may be made to the Mount Pulaski First United Methodist Church.
