[JUNE 12, 2006]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Florence E. Crippen, 100, of Mount Pulaski died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at 10:40 p.m. Vonderlieth Living Center.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.

Mrs. Crippen was a homemaker.

She was born March 11, 1906, at Mount Pulaski to George Otto and Sarah Geyer Weckel. She married Arthur Pierce Crippen in Decatur on Dec. 4, 1995, and he preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Barnett; four brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by three granddaughters, Barbara "Bobbe" (and Robert) Long of Hammond, Lynnette (and Joe) Connelly of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Lynda Millard of Centerville, Iowa; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; four nieces, Rosetta Webb of Springfield, Emma Cundiff of Springfield, Berle (and Robert) Mudget of Hart, Mich., and Alice Davis of Mount Pulaski; and three great-nieces, Kris Webb of Springfield, Susan (and David) Kmiec of Palatine and Kathy (and Mike) Toohey of Mount Pulaski.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Pulaski, the Ruth Circle of the church and sang in the church choir.

Memorials may be made to Mount Pulaski First United Methodist Church or Vonderlieth Living Center.
