Vendors welcome          Send a link to a friend

[JUNE 20, 2006]  ELKHART -- Produce, arts and crafts, and homemade baked goods as well as jams and jellies are all welcome at Elkhart's newest venture: the farmers' market. This is another opportunity for people to visit Elkhart and enjoy the little community.

Saturday mornings from 8 until noon, vendors gather to sell their produce, arts and crafts, and homemade pies and cookies.

Space is free and all are welcome to participate.

The farmers' market is at the intersection of Gov. Oglesby and Latham streets -- just across the railroad tracks.

Shoppers can also visit A-Z Antiques, Bluestem Bakery, Horsefeathers, The Dragonfly Studio and Richardson Mower Service. Don't forget Peggy's Talk of the Town and the bakery for a bite to eat, and for a cool drink visit the aforementioned as well as The Blue Moon.

For a Saturday morning, Elkhart is a great place to be.
