[JUNE 22, 2006]  Alfred M. Collins, 89, of Lincoln died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at 12:35 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Vance Russell officiating.

Burial will be in Kline Cemetery, Broadwell.

Mr. Collins was a retired farmer.

He was born March 10, 1917, in Tennessee to Newton and Flora Simmons Collins. He married Iva M. Robison on May 4, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one son, Bruce E. Collins of Hartsburg; three daughters, Shirley M. (and Ed) Dyer of Elkhart, Linda K. (and Bill) Fry of Mississippi and Brenda S. (and Larry) DeVore of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, James A. Collins; three brothers, Hubert Collins, Gene Collins and Glen Collins; and three sisters, Peg Agnes Davis, Mary Stoneking and Ruby Adkins.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
