Suzanne Harris

[JUNE 30, 2006]  Suzanne M. Harris, 69, of Lincoln died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at 6:23 a.m. at home.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Peasley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Bert officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris retired from Lincoln Development Center after 37 years of service. She previously worked at Stetson in Lincoln.

She was born Feb. 11, 1937, at Lincoln to Walter and Mildred Malerich Foreaker. She married Donald C. Harris on July 6, 1960, in Lincoln. He died Nov. 24, 1999.

She is survived by her children, Scott L. Harris of Jacksonville, Dawn R. Harris of Lincoln, Rochelle M. Bixler of Lincoln, Eric E. (and Shannon) Harris of Lincoln and Mitchell A. (and Carrie) Harris of Lincoln; two stepdaughters, Wanda (and Douglas) Lessen of Beason and Clara M. (and Marion) Boone of New Haven, Ky.; one sister, Martha E. Houghton of Lincoln; a grandson she raised, Buddy L. Thompson; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Kim L. "Buddy" Thompson and Donald M. Harris, and a grandson, Lewis Carlock.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and TOPS.

She graduated from Lincoln High School. 

Memorials may be made to the DeVita Healthcare Dialysis Center in Lincoln.
