Eighth-grade volleyball finals postponed

BLOOMINGTON -- The semifinals, third-place and
championship matches in the Illinois Elementary School Association
Class 8A and Class 8AA state volleyball tournaments, scheduled for
Tuesday, have been postponed because of snow and hazardous
conditions.

Matches in the two tournaments -- Class 8A at Bloomington Central
Catholic's gym and Class 8AA at Stephen Decatur Middle School --
have been rescheduled for Wednesday. Semifinal matches at both
sites will be played at 3:30 and 4:45 p.m. Third-place matches will
be at 6 p.m. and the title match is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

At Bloomington the semifinal pairings are Lewistown Central, 18-7,
versus Pawnee, 20-4, at 3:30 and Mount Pulaski, 26-1, versus Peoria
Limestone Walters, 25-1, at 4:45.
At Stephen Decatur the semifinal pairings are Homer Glen Homer,
18-9, versus East St. Louis Clark, 21-4, at 3:30 and Herscher
Limestone, 24-3, versus Normal Chiddix, 22-4, at 4:45.
