Car owner calls for action following repeat vandalism    Send a link to a friend

To the editor:

What is the matter with our community that vandals can walk around Lincoln at night (and in the daytime) and key cars, break off side mirrors and otherwise vandalize law-abiding citizens' cars?

I have only lived in Lincoln for a couple of years, but in the past year my car has been vandalized four times. The police can do nothing but take down my name and address and add me to the list of many that have had their cars vandalized.

What is going on here and what can we do as citizens to stop it?

Mayor, what do you think about this and what can you and the city of Lincoln do to stop it?

P. Griffin
