CIEDC staff graduate from spring
training

On May 12, nine CIEDC staff members from
throughout the agency's service area graduated from spring training.
The spring training workshop focused on maintaining high-quality
customer service.

The training was themed around the idea of staff working as a team.
They completed tasks such as a building a sports stadium with
limited materials, role playing, observing skits and more. The
CIEDC staff members who participated in the training work with the
public daily to assist with utility assistance, rental assistance,
food pantry needs, All Kids applications and more.
The training was facilitated by Angela Stoltzenburg, CIEDC
executive director; Kathy Shepherd, community services director;
Kelly Comerford, LIHEAP assistant director; and Rick Campbell,
director of weather and energy programs.
"I'm very proud of all the staff that attended and planned the
day," Stoltzenburg said. "The staff members that attended were able
to discuss typical scenarios and participate in helping each other
find ways to improve their delivery of services. Providing our
families with a high level of customer service is very important to
the agency and our staff."

Graduates are Anna Richardson of Menard County, Deb Sullivan and
Vicki Thrasher of DeWitt County, Beth Porter and Wendy Dotson of
Piatt County, Cyndi Campbell and Darla Buss of Logan County, and
Gloria Hackney and Lanette Armstrong of Mason County.
CIEDC is a Community Action agency serving children, low-income,
elderly and disabled individuals in a six-county area: Logan, Mason,
Piatt, DeWitt, Fulton and Menard.
