Jean Willmert

[NOV. 22, 2006]  ATLANTA -- Jean Willmert, 80, of Atlanta died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at 5:30 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

Mrs. Willmert's funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Atlanta United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steve Anderson officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery. 

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 26, 1926, at Beason to Henry and Maudra White Harmon. She married Merlin Willmert on Oct. 9, 1945, in Morgansfield, Ky. 

Mrs. Willmert is survived by her husband of 61 years; three daughters, Carol (and Bill) Blankenship, Marilyn (and Greg) Tucker and Connie Dugan, all of Atlanta; two sisters, Rachel (and Bob) Kehl of Atlanta and Gerthel (and John) Bruce of Decatur; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

Two brothers and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.

She graduated from the Atlanta Community High School. 

Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad.
