Roger Klockenga

[OCT. 3, 2006]  Roger Martin Klockenga, 61, of Lincoln died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dan Wissmann officiating.

Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg.

Mr. Klockenga retired in August 2003 after 35 years with Eaton Corp., where he was a forklift operator.

He was born Dec. 10, 1944, in Lincoln to Ben Martin and Mary Louise Shehorn Klockenga. He married Elizabeth Buss on May 15, 1965, in Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife; one sister, Rita (and Bruce) Brown of Anna; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member and greeter at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Westside Bowling League and the Sunday Night Mixed League at Logan Lanes. He was an avid fan of the Cardinals and Notre Dame.

Memorials may be made to the senior choir of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
