[OCT. 6, 2006]  Lincoln girls participated in the IHSA Class AA golf regional at the Lincoln Elks Club on Wednesday.

The LCHS team score was 370, the total of the four lowest individual scores: 80 by Juliann Papesch, 93 by Rachel Tabor, 96 by Meghan Dean and 101 by Candace Schmidt. Lincoln's other scores were 115 each by Jennifer Dammerman and Arielle Alley.

These teams and individuals advance to the Centralia Sectional on Monday at 9 a.m.:

  • Team champion -- Quincy Notre Dame, 317

  • Second place -- Maroa-Forsyth, 331

  • Third place -- Champaign Centennial, 338

  • Medalist -- Kelsey Erickson, Mahomet-Seymour, 75

  • Tie for second place -- Jenna Dombroski, Champaign Centennial, 77; and Bethany Peters, Quincy Notre Dame, 77

  • Tie for fourth place -- Brittany Holmes, Maroa-Forsyth, 78; and Hannah Bachman, Springfield High School, 78

  • Jenny Gildner, Springfield SHG, 86
