[Response to
letter from Ed Perry] To the editor:
The trustees of LRFPD have looked at two different current
buildings [Coy's was one].We decided that by the time we purchased
the property and did the remodeling plus the expanding to meet our
needs, the cost would be near or exceed that of the new building.
The fire station would still not be located where it needed to be.
Graue's building was not an option at the time the decision was
made, but being such a big lot and building I think it would be
cost-prohibitive.
We currently own property next to the LCPA. The trustees feel
that this is where the building needs to be since we currently help
the LCPA on third-call ambulance calls.

Secretary, Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District
