Donald 'Tex' Albertson

[OCT. 11, 2006]  Donald Wayne "Tex" Albertson, 71, of Lincoln died Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at 8:33 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

According to his wishes, his body will be cremated. There will be no visitation or funeral service.

Bennett Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Mr. Albertson was a farmer and truck driver.

He served in the U.S. Marines.

He was born Sept. 18, 1935, at Eir, Kan., to Lee and Flora Beaver Albertson. He married Judy Lichlyter on March 31, 1963. She preceded him in death in February 1995. 

He is survived by three sons, Ray Albertson of Middletown, James Albertson of Lincoln and Charlie Albertson of Lincoln; two brothers, Lee Albertson of Texas and Loran Albertson of Virginia; two sisters, Marta Albertson-Demert of Colorado and Norma Albertson-Knudslein of California; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; four sons, Frank, Ernie, Gary and Melvin Albertson; and two brothers, Ellis and Jim Albertson.

Memorials may be made to Home Healthcare Network of Logan County.
