Oliver Maske

[OCT. 12, 2006]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Oliver G. Maske, 97, of Latham died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at 1:50 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut. The Rev. Steve Maske will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.

Burial will be in Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Mr. Maske was a retired farmer and factory laborer.

He was born Nov. 29, 1908, at St. Peter to Gustav Robert and Sophia Meyer Maske. He married Ida Remmert in Frogtown on Nov. 29, 1931. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1990.

He is survived by one son, Robert (Jo Ellen) Maske of Mount Pulaski; three daughters, Frances (and Eugene) Letterly of Latham, Mary Ann (and Keith) Miller of St. Jacob and Bonnie Jean (and Robert) Kinsel of Roseville; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and two grandsons.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut.

He was with the Latham Fire Department for 15 years.

He loved fishing in his spare time.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut, Zion Lutheran School in Mount Pulaski or AgriAbility.
