Hazel M. Horton, 88, of Lincoln died Thursday,
Oct. 12, 2006, at 11:33 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre. |

A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday,
Oct. 18, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, Ala.
The Rev. Wayne Campbell will officiate. Visitation
will be one hour prior the service. Arrangements
are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
Mrs. Horton was a homemaker.
She was born March 13, 1918, in Mississippi to
Oscar and Lillian Hazel Hughes. She married John J.
Horton. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (and Linda)
Horton of Omaha, Neb., and Bobby (and Rita) Horton
of Lincoln; two brothers, I.G. Hughes of Pensecola,
Fla., and Richard Hughes of Birmingham, Ala.; five
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother,
Luther Hughes.
She was a member of Englenook Baptist Church.
