[OCT. 16, 2006]  ATLANTA -- Madonna M. Beck York, 60, of Arrowsmith died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at 9:23 a.m. at the home of her daughter.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home, with Tony Billingsley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville.

Mrs. York retired from Modine Manufacturing.

She was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Montezuma, Ind., to Harley Wilford and Lowesa Chase Beck Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori (and Mark) Bean of Arrowsmith; one sister, Jane (and Ken) Doolin of Atlanta; three brothers, James (and Sandy) Beck of Pekin, Chuck (and Carol) Beck of Kissee Mills, Mo., and Art (and Phyllis) Beck of Forsythe, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Jessilynn Grace Bean, Justin Wyatt Bean and Cassandra Marie Bean, all of Arrowsmith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers and one son, Dennis Franklin York.

She was a member of the Eminence Christian Church and Machinists Local 1000.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

She graduated from Atlanta High School in 1964.
