Ethel Weyhrich

[OCT. 31, 2006]  ELKHART -- Ethel Weyhrich, 97, of Elkhart died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at 11:35 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Elkhart United Methodist Church. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Pastor Rob Hake officiating.

Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Weyhrich was a music teacher in the Beason school district.

She was born Dec. 26, 1908, in Beason to Joseph and Mary Jane Smith Forsythe. She married Walter Weyhrich on Aug. 19, 1938, in Beason, and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Larry (and Carol) Weyhrich of Springfield, and two grandchildren.

She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of the Elkhart United Methodist Church, where she had been organist, pianist, choir director and Sunday school superintendent. She was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Flower City Chapter.

Memorials may be made to the Elkhart United Methodist Church.
