Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home, with the Rev. Jame Hahs officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Sommers helped her husband farm and retired
from Lincoln Developmental Center after 29 1/2 years
as a technician.
She was born May 3, 1917, in Lincoln to Charles
Theodore and Myrtle Hazel Weherly Mosier. She
married Theodore "Ted" Sommers in Lincoln on Jan.
24, 1939. He died April 17, 2001.
She is survived by one son, LeRoy "Zeek" Sommers
of Lincoln; one daughter, Jean (and Ray) Boyd of
Bloomington; one brother, John Mosier of Lincoln;
one sister, Mary Etta Greer of Lincoln; five
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son,
Richard; two sisters; and one brother.
She was a member of the First United Methodist
Church of Lincoln, the Rachel Circle at the church
and Lincoln Woman's Club.
Memorials may be made to St. Clara's Manor, First
United Methodist Church of Lincoln or to Alzheimer's
disease research.
