Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Schutz worked at U.S. Corrugated in Lincoln
for a number of years and at Heritage Packaging as a
bookkeeper and office manager. She retired in the
early 1990s.
She was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Lincoln to Bruce
and Mae Holtz Brak. She married Jack Schutz on March
13, 1955, in Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters,
Jeannie Schutz of Lincoln and Sheryl Zook of Catlin;
two sons, Larry Schutz of Rockport, Texas, and Jerry
Schutz of Atlanta; six grandchildren; four
stepgrandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and
brother, Noel "Dean" Brak.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and
the Prairie State Longhorn Association. She was a
buyer and breeder of quality longhorn cattle and
loved her cattle.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung
Association or Wayne J. Schall Hospice and will be
accepted at the funeral home.
