Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Wendell had taught in a rural Logan County
school and then became a full-time homemaker on the
farm.
She was born May 14, 1920, in Lincoln to Harold
and Lenna Williams Fue. She married Norman Paulus
Wendell on June 23, 1940, and he preceded her in
death.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sheryl
Wendell of New Holland; two grandchildren, Clay and
Cori Wendell of New Holland; and one brother, Harold
(and Bettye) Fue of Santa Barbara, Calif.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Mark,
and one brother, Merlin.
She was a member of the First United Methodist
Church of Lincoln and the Rachel Circle of the
church, Lincoln Woman's Club, a charter member of
Logan County Women's Extension Service, a Cub Scout
den mother for three years, a member of Beta Sigma
Phi sorority since 1946, and several bridge clubs.
She graduated from Lincoln Community High School,
Lincoln Business College and Lincoln College.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Village,
First United Methodist Church or a scholarship fund
for Lincoln College.
