Richard Buchholz

[April 16, 2007]  Richard Edward Buchholz, 74, of Lincoln died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 9 a.m. at his home.

His body will be cremated and there will be no services.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mr. Buchholz worked at Lincoln Bottle Factory for 8 1/2 years and was a self-employed carpenter for over 30 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was born Nov. 4, 1932, at Atlanta to Phillip and Kate Diekoff Buchholz. He married Leona Frances Wilmert on July 11, 1964, in Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two stepsons, Gerald (and Mary) Jones of Delavan and Lawrence Beals of Lincoln; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Peterson of Indiana and Shirley (and Jim) Davis of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Leona and Beverly.

He was a member of Carpenters Local 644.

Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Care of Illinois.
