Shirley Terrell

[August 03, 2007]  McLEAN -- Shirley J. Terrell, 68, of Bloomington, formerly of McLean, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at 1:40 p.m. at her home.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the McLean Christian Church, with Tony Billingsley officiating. Visitation will be during the hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in McLean Cemetery.

Mrs. Terrell was employed at Eureka-Williams for 28 years. She later worked for Bill Doran Wholesale Florist as bookkeeper.

She was born Oct. 18, 1938, in Streator to Robert G. "Buck" and Ollie A. Rich Long. She married James S. Terrell Sr. on Aug. 9, 1962. He preceded her in death.

Surviving Mrs. Terrell are her mother, of Bloomington, her children, Kimberley Winstead (and Kirk Hoff) of Bloomington, James S. Terrell Jr. (and Michele Hinchee) of Bloomington, Mary Terrell of Bloomington, Kevin Terrell of Danvers and Rhonda (and Kent) McKinley of Michigan; one brother, Bill Long of Havana; four sisters, Barbara Otto of Lincoln, Laura (and Carl) Benedict of Lincoln, Diane (and Gary) Peifer of Waynesville and Marilyn Kirby of Bloomington; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and special friends Toni Hawkins, Ester Smith, Joanne Swearingen Neat and Tammy Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She was a member of the McLean Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to BroMenn Hospice or McLean Christian Church.
