Janeann Frantz Meredith, formerly of
Lincoln, died July 30, 2007, in Bedford, Texas, after a long fight
with breast cancer.
The family will receive visitors and friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 10, in the chapel at the First United Methodist Church
in Lincoln. A memorial service will begin at 8 p.m. Those in

The service will maintain an upbeat and positive
outlook, at Janeann's request, and anyone attending
is discouraged from wearing funeral-like clothing or
displaying a funeral-like attitude.
Mrs. Meredith recently retired from Kraft General
Foods after 30 years of service, and she and her
husband had recently moved to Trophy Club, Texas.
She was born Feb. 20, 1947, in Lincoln to Weldon
"Pete" and Jane Ellen Frantz.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24
years, Tom Meredith; two daughters, Janelle (and
Gregg) Stewart of Lansing, Mich., and Tracey
Meredith of Sheboygan, Wis.; one brother, Pete (and
Carol) Frantz of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Ian
Stewart and Lillian Stewart; and her dearest friend,
Karen (husband Cliff) Elliott.
She grew up in Lincoln and attended local
schools, including Lincoln College. She was very
involved in theater and music during her school
years and continued to love both throughout her
life. She earned her MBA in finance in 1994. |
She started her career with Kraft in Champaign. She
later moved on to the LeHigh Valley plant near
Allentown, Pa., and the Buena Park Plant in
California. She spent the last 10 years of her
career at Kraft headquarters in Glenview. She was a
recipient of the Kraft Superior Achievement Award
and served as an inspiration to the many people who
worked with her over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
memorial contributions be given to the Susan G.
