Bernadine Brown

[August 25, 2007]  Bernadine Janette Brucker Brown, 82, of Lincoln died at her home on the evening of Aug. 22, 2007.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandma with a strong faith in the Lord.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Tracy Thomas of Lincoln Christian Church will serve as clergy.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

She was born to Howard and Irene Brucker on Jan. 27, 1925, in Cropsey.

She married Frank William Brown on April 10, 1949. He preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1984.

Mrs. Brown is survived by daughters Nancy Irene (and Kim) Courtwright of Ellendale, N.D., and Kathy (and Roger) Bruns of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Brandin Lancaster (and Todd) of Michigan, Patrick (and Bonnie) Bruns of Champaign, Aaron Bruns of Lincoln, Amanda Bruns of Carterville and Cory Bruns of Carbondale; three great-grandchildren, twins Quinton and Kolton Lancaster of Michigan and Klayton Lancaster, also of Michigan; brothers Harley Brucker of Wisconsin and Arnold Brucker of Cropsey; a sister-in-law, Eileen Mathern of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She belonged to Lincoln Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Beacons Sunday school class at Lincoln Christian Church.
