Mary Shaub

[December 22, 2007]  Mary P. Shaub, 83, of Lincoln, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at 1:46 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Dolan officiating.

Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, rural Emden.

Mrs. Shaub was a homemaker.

She was born July 11, 1924, at Charleston to Claude and Ida Glosser Lang. She married George E. Shaub on April 15, 1950, at Paragould, Ark. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1989.

She is survived by four sons, George L. Shaub, Raymond Shaub, Roger (and Christine) Shaub and Randy Shaub, all of Lincoln; four daughters, Rosanna (and Dan) Buelter of East Greenwich, R.I., Gloria (and Tim) Krueger of Schoolcraft, Mich., Gail (and Jim) Voges of Des Arc, Mo., and Gina (and Chris) Gallagher of Katy, Texas; four sisters, Ruth Hays of Danville, Ind., Opal (and Charlie) Swarts of Charleston, Freda (and Roy) Lineberry of Charleston and Connie Poulter of Charleston; one brother, Everett Lang of Charleston; 14 grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of Lincoln Hill Free Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
