Harold Swinford

[December 31, 2007]  HARTSBURG -- The funeral service for Harold Ray Swinford, 57, of Hartsburg will be at noon Monday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time.

Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

Mr. Swinford died Dec. 22, 2007, in Chicago while on his truck route. He was employed with Davis Brothers Trucking for several years.

He was born May 5, 1950 in Kaiser, Ark., to Harmon Lihugh and Ila Christine Carter Swinford. He married Ruby Voyles on Oct. 10, 1970.

He is survived by his wife, of Hartsburg; one son, Steve (and Jennifer) Swinford of Hartsburg; three daughters, Aggie (and Rick) Doolin of Atlanta, Lisa (and Bob) Gaston of Atlanta and Amanda Swinford and fiance Mark Stoltzenburg of Lincoln; five sisters, Barb Redding of Bragg City, Mo., Sue Miller of Sikeston, Mo., Hope Hatton of Malden, Mo., Judy Swinford of Beneld and Carol Swinford of Campbell, Mo.; five brothers, Eugene Carter of Poplar Bluff, Mo., James Swinford of Hartsburg, Ricky Swinford of Malden, Mo., Mark Swinford of Licking, Mo, and Dwight Pavy of Malden, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sheola; and two brothers, Harmon and Mikel.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
