[FEB. 17, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- The 2007 United Bowhunters of Illinois banquet will be on March 3 at the Northfield Center, 3280 Northfield Drive in Springfield. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and seminars will begin at 10, 11:30 and 3:30.

The seminars will include Illinois Department of Natural Resources biologist Paul Shelton speaking on the Illinois deer herd; an Alaska bowhunting seminar and panel discussion; and a how-to seminar by Chuck Jones on building laminated bows.

The day's events are free to the public and also include raffles and an open vendor area.

The evening events include a dinner and live auction. The cost is $25 for adults and $12.50 for youth. If you wish to attend as a guest, or would like more information, contact Jered Shofner at 217-736-2629.
