Geneva K. Heinzel Boyd, 87, of Lincoln
died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at 11:11 p.m. at her home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First
Baptist Church of Lincoln, with the Rev. Robert Henderson
officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the
church. |

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln.
She was born July 19, 1919, in East St. Louis to
Carl W. and Cora M. Freeman Mallinson. She married
Robert Billy Albert Heinzel in 1936 in Troy, and he
preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1985. She married
Orville L. Boyd Sr. on Feb. 8, 1987, in Lincoln, and
he preceded her in death on Jan 16, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis J.
Shawgo (and Richard E.) Caplinger of Lincoln and
Virginia Raye Heinzel of Lincoln; two brothers,
Freeman Mallinson of Colorado and Eldon Mallinson of
Lincoln; eight grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers,
Ray and James Mallinson. |
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or
Hospice Care of Illinois.
