Edna Bishop

[JAN. 4, 2007]  Edna Mae Bishop, 91, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at 11:03 p.m. at the Christian Village.

Her body will be cremated and there will be no visitation.

A private graveside service will be Jan. 12 in New Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mrs. Bishop was a telephone operator at Lincoln Developmental Center before she retired.

She was born March 11, 1915, in Norris City to Byron and Anna Boster Hill. She married Rolla Bishop on April 2, 1936, in Norris City. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judy Bishop of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Cindy Head of Maryland, John Prince of Florida, Mike Bishop Purviance of Colorado and Marci Vasiliades of Illinois; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Bishop; seven sisters; and one brother. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of Norris City Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
